UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: In separate incidents, Udhampur Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 9.75 grams Heroin like substance from their possession.
During a special naka established by P S Rehambal, ASI Naseeb Singh, under the supervision of SHO PS Rehmbal Rajesh Sharma at Phalata NHW, one pedestrian was apprehended for his suspicious movement.
He disclosed his name as Mohd Sadeeq, son of Khushi Mohd, resident of Hartaryan, Tehsil and District Udhampur. During his search, 6.4 gm Heroin-like substance and an electronic weighing machine were recovered from his possession. In this regard FIR was registered at PS Rehambal and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Police team of Police Post Roundomail apprehended one drug peddler and recovered 3.35 grams of Heroin like substance.
Police team, led by Insp Raghubir Singh, SHO Udhampur, and assisted by PSI Rahul Jamwal IC PP Roundomail stopped one motorcycle bearing registration number JK14H 8141 for checking.
During frisking of bike rider, 3.35 grams of Heroin was recovered from the possession of accused person namely Abhniva Sharma son of Shambu Dutt, resident of Prey, Tehsil Rammagar. He was arrested on spot.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
