UDHAMPUR, Dec 20: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Majalta area and recovered a small quantity of heroin like substance from their possession.
Reports said that Police team of Police Station Majalta led by SHO Sohan Singh, while conducting surprise vehicle checking at Garh Samna Banj area, intercepted a bike bearing registration number JK08L-5355.
During frisking of the rider and pillion rider of the said bike, Police team recovered four grams of heroin like substance. Both the accused were arrested on the spot. They were identified as Diwakar Divedi son of Sunil Divedi of Billawar, Kathua and Javed Ahmed son of Nek Mohd of Gurha Kalyal, Ramkot, Kathua.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 118/2024 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Majalta.
