UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police Party of PS Udhampur today arrested two drug peddlers and seized 20 grams of heroin from their possession.
The accused were travelling in a vehicle (JK14A-1688), which was on way towards Udhampur town, when they were intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Chanchal Singh, during naka at Omara Morh.
During search, 20 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from the accused, identified as Shakil Ahmed son of Mohd Rashid of Kheri, Udhampur and Hamid Ali alias Medu, son of Chattu of Thard, Udhampur.
In this connection, a case FIR number 135/2021, under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
