JAMMU, Aug 16: Pacca Danga police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested two drug peddlers along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Pacca Danga police station laid a surprised naka at Manda and intercepted a bus.
During checking, police recovered 7.5 kilograms of poppy straw from the belongings of the bus conductor and arrested him.
Meanwhile, a team from Pacca Danga police station apprehended a pedestrian at Manda along with 1.3 kilograms of poppy straw.
Cases under relevant Sections of law have been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal made the arrest under the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
