2 drug peddlers arrested with banned syrup bottles, cannabis

RAMBAN, June 26: Banihal police arrested two drug peddlers along with banned syrup bottles and cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station laid a naka at T Chowk and intercepted a person.
During checking, police team recovered 50 bottles of banned syrup bottles from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mudasir Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed Wani, a resident of Sopore.
During preliminary investigation, the accused disclosed that he had bought the consignment from Kashmir for selling among the youth in Banihal and Jammu.
Meanwhile, Banihal Police arrested one more person identified as Rahul Singh, son of Sang Dayal, a resident of Reya Bari Brahamana Jammu along with 250 grams of cannabis.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Abid Hussain Bukhari made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
