JAMMU, Jan 4: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 6 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka at Prithipur and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JKO2AU-6847.
During checking, police recovered 6 grams of heroin from the possession of the two persons riding on the motorcycle and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sumit Kumar, son of Devinder Kumar of Mehmoodpur and Baba Ram, son of Saudagar Mal of Nougran.
A case under FIR Number 4/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge SDPO RS Pura Sukhdev Singh, SP Headquarters RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
