KATRA, May 23: Katra Police has arrested two drug peddlers and seized 1.5 kg poppy straw from their possession.
Reports said that a Police team intercepted two persons namely Rahul Sharma of W No 4 Main Bazar Katra and Sher Mohd of Sandrote in Dansal, who were on way to Katra from Jammu side in the vehicle Bolero bearing registration number JK20 3030.
During frisking of the accused, Police recovered 800 gms poppy straw from the possession of Rahul Sharma and 700 gms poppy straw from Sher Mohd.
Police arrested the accused and also seized the vehicle, which was used for transportation of the drugs. In this connection, a case FIR number 78/2015 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
