RAJOURI, Nov 10: Thanna mandi police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 700 gms brown sugar from their possession this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that a police naka party at Manyal Gali intercepted two persons moving on foot towards Thannamandi. During their frisking, one of them tried to escape but he was over powered by cops. A small leather bag containing brown sugar was recovered from their possession. Both were arrested and a case FIR No. 162 /2014 was registered against them.
They were identified as Sayed Akbar, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Marha, Behramgalla (Surankote) and Mohd Yasin, son of Lal Din, resident of Bagla Kotli, near Chingus in Rajouri. The police has started investigation. They were coming from Mughal Road side.
