REASI, Sept 3:In the continuous drive of tightening the noose around drug mafia, Reasi Police today apprehended two drug peddlers at Thappa Chowk Reasi.
A team from Police Station Reasi, led by SHO Ashwani Sharma, laid a special Naka at Thappa Chowk Reasi and intercepted an Auto load carrier bearing registration number JK20 -3362, which was coming from Gran Morh to Bus Stand Reasi.
The said Auto was being driven by Parkash Singh of Katal Gran Morh Reasi and one Swar Din of Ladha Tehsil Moungari, District Udhampur was accompanying him . During their personal search, 520 grams poppy straw was recovered from the beneath the driver seat and 58 gms charas like substance was recovered from the possession of Swar Din.
Both the accused persons were taken into custody and the recovered contraband was seized. A case FIR number 166/19 u/s 8/15/20 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Reasi.
