POONCH, Aug 11: Continuing its drive against drug peddling in Poonch, the police arrested two drug-peddlers and recovered a consignment of heroin from their possession.
Those nabbed are identified as Faizan Khan, son of Farooq Ahmed from Ward No 2, Kamsar Poonch and Tariq Ali Shah , son of Gulzar Hussain Shah from Bhata Durian, at present Ward No 1 near DPL Poonch. The police recovered 6 gms of heroin from their possession.
During a naka near Chandak Chowk police intercepted a Baleno vehicle bearing registration No JK02CS- 0572 and stopped for checking. During frisking of the people on board the cops recovered some quantity of heroin. They were arrested a case FIR No. 128/2023 U/S 8/21/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered against them.
