UDHAMPUR, Dec 31: Two drug-peddlers were held with contraband (heroin) substances by police in Rehambal area of Udhampur town.
Official sources said that Police team from Police Station Rehambal led by SHO Nishat Sumbria while performing patrolling duty at Malhar Morh area, Rehambal apprehended two suspicious persons namely Vijay Sharma. son of Premu of Jandrore and Sushil Sharma son of Paras Ram of Kaghote, Tehsil Ramnagar who turned to be suspicious as they tried to fled away from the spot on seeing police team.
Upon conducting thorough frisking of both apprehended persons, 4.60 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession who have been arrested on spot.
On this, a case FIR No. 262/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Rehambal.
