RAJOURI, Apr 4: The police arrested two drug-peddlers and recovered some quantity of heroin from their possession in Nowshera area today.
Official sources said that a police party from Police Post, Lamberi led by I/C Post PSI Sahil Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Nowshera Inspector Arjun Magotra during a Naka at Lamberi on Jammu-Rajouri National Highway, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK11G-3086 coming from Jammu and moving towards Rajouri.
Two persons including driver were found on board the vehicle and during their personal search, 7.60 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession. They were identified as Rajesh Khajuria, son of Amrit Lal, resident of Bagnoti and Rajat Sharma, son of Mangat Ram, resident of Chakjarala. A case FIR No 34/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowshera against them. Further investigation of the case is going on to unearth backward and forward linkages.
