REASI, Apr 19: The police arrested two drug–peddlers and recovered some quantity of heroin from their possession in Reasi area today.
Official sources said that a police party from Reasi Police Station during checking at Sulla Naka near Reasi on Katra road stopped a vehicle bearing registration No. JK20-5449 and during checking 1.95 grams heroin was recovered from the possession of Ajay Kumar, son of Tej Ram, resident of Gran Morh, Reasi and 1.38 grams heroin from Joginder Singh, son of Prithvi Singh also from Gran Morh Reasi.
On this, a case FIR No. 96/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Reasi and investigation has been launched. The operation was led by SHO Reasi Vijay Sharma under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Reasi Neeraj Padyar.
