2 employees suspended for dereliction of election duty

KISHTWAR, Dec 3: Two Government employees were today suspended for dereliction of election duty here by Panchayat Election Officer, Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The suspended employees are Ram Krishan (Teacher, GHS Loparaa Dachhan) who was appointed as presiding officer and Prabhat Kumar (Lecturer, HSS Dachhan), who was appointed as Sector Magistrate, Panchayat Kither. During the suspension period, they shall remain attached in the office of ADC Kishtwar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar has been appointed as inquiry officer to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter as warranted under election rule.
Meanwhile, an MPW, Aijaz Keen has been attached in the office of Assistant Commissioner (Development) Kishtwar with immediate effect till pending enquiry, following a written complaint lodged against him regarding violation of Model Code of Conduct by campaigning for a particular contesting candidate of Bunjwah.
The enquiry into the matter will be conducted by Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik.
