JAMMU, Oct 20: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has detained two former Kashmiri militants along with their two Pakistani wives and four children at Maharajganj along Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh after they crossed over inside the Indian territory from Nepal last night.
The Kashmiri militants along with their Pakistani wives and children had flown to Kathmandu from Karachi and then sneaked into India from Nepal border at Maharajganj, where the SSB detained them.
After preliminary questioning, the SSB handed over them to Jammu and Kashmir Police Cell in New Delhi for further verifications.
The Delhi Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Police would shift them to the Kashmir Valley for questioning and registration of a case against them.
The two arrested militants reportedly belonged to Kupwara. They had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in nineties for arms training but were held up there. Later, they had married two local girls of PoK and had two children each from them.
