2 Govt teachers die, 2 children injured as car rolls down

REASI, Aug 18: In a tragic road accident, two Government teachers died and two minor children of one of the deceased were critically injured when the car, they were travelling in, rolled down in deep gorge in Hamosan area of Chassana, here today.

The Alto car, bearing registration number JK20B- 1024 was on way from Hamosan to Chassana when it met with the accident while negotiating a curve, this afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Mohd Amin, age 40 years, son of Bashir Ahmed and Ghulam Ahmed, age 42 years, son of Bashir Ahmed. Both were Government teachers and residents of Hamosan. They reportedly died on the spot.

Two minor children of deceased Ghulam Ahmed, identified as eight-year old Sumera Ghulam and her brother Sajad Ghulam, sustained serious injuries in the accident.
They were rushed to Chassana Primary Health Center (PHC) where doctors referred them to District Hospital Reasi for further treatment.
According to SHO Chassana, Inspector Ranjit Singh Rao, the accident took place around 1:45 pm when the car rolled down around 200 meters deep in the gorge, resulting into on the spot death of two persons and critical injuries to two children.
