2 Govt teachers suspended for violating MCC

RAJOURI, Sept 7: Two Government teachers from Peeri Education Zone of Kotranka Sub-Division in Rajouri district have been suspended for violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and remaining absent from duty.
Both the teachers have been attached to the office of Chief Education Officer (CEO), Rajouri pending further investigation.

The first suspension order pertains to Mohammad Rafiq, a teacher at Government Primary School Gagrot. A complaint was filed with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kotranka alleging that Rafiq had participated in an election campaign and solicited votes for a political party.
The complaint was supported by video and photographic evidence. Following an investigation, the ADC, who also serves as the Returning Officer for Budhal Assembly Constituency, confirmed the violation and reported it to the CEO Rajouri. In response, CEO Rajouri, Bishambar Das, has suspended Rafiq and attached him to the CEO office, Rajouri.
The second teacher, Shahpal Khan, from Government Primary School Demote Jamola, has been suspended for habitual absenteeism and failure to comply with Government orders including biometric attendance. The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Peeri reported that Khan frequently misses work disregards directives and creates administrative challenges.
Consequently, the CEO Rajouri has suspended Khan and attached him to the ZEO office Baljarralan. Additionally, the Principals of Government Higher Secondary Schools Peeri, Kotranka, Kakora and Chingus have been directed to conduct thorough investigations into these matters and submit detailed report within a week.
This action underscores the commitment to uphold the integrity of the Education system and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct during electoral processes, the CEO added.
