Srinagar, Aug 19: Police in Sopore today have arrested 2 persons apart from seizing 3 vehicles involved in the commission of the crime.
Acting on specific information about illegally extracting Sand and Bajri from river Vij Dachanpara Rafiabad, a Police party led by SHO Police Station Panzla raided the specific spot and intercepted 3 vehicles (Tractors) loaded with illegally extracted material from the river and tried to flee from the spot, but were apprehended tactfully.
“The accused drivers were arrested and the vehicles used in the commission of crime have also been seized,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 52/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Panzla, and the investigation is set into motion.
