JAMMU, Feb 7: Police today arrested two persons along with 8 grams of heroine from Panama Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka near Panama Chowk and intercepted two persons riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BD-4809.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams of heroine and arrested both the accused, who has been identified as Amaar Bin Mohammad, son of Mehmood Ahmad of Bhaderwah, at present Prem Nagar and Majid Shafi Wani, son of Mahmood Shadi Wani of Bhaderwah, at present Prem Nagar.
A case under FIR number 32/15 under section 8/22 Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Paramjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, Incharge SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
