KISHTWAR, Aug 25: Police arrested two persons along with 80 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Kishtwar police station conducted searched in forest area and arrested two persons along with 80 kilograms of nagchatri.
The accused have been identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Manjit Singh of Ajan Bullar and Jai Singh, son of Natha Ram of Teelan.
A case under FIR Number 146/15 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at police station Kishtwar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kishtwar police station Inspector Sameer Jeelani and Incharge, District Special Branch, Kishtwar, SI Nayeem-ul-Haq Mattoo made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kishtwar, Toussef Ahmed, Additional SP, Abdul Qayoom Manhas and SSP Kishtwar, Yougal Manhas.
