JAMMU, Oct 25: Nowabad police today arrested two drug peddlers with 20 gram of chitta (heroin like substance).
According to a police official, a police party of police post Canal during naka checking near 4th Tawi bridge intercepted a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02M-8082. He said on checking of the two occupants of the car police recovered 20 gram of chitta.
The official said that recovered drugs were seized and both the persons namely Tejinder Pal Singh son of Hardev Singh of Bakshi Nagar and Arjun Kumar son of Tarsem Lal of Puran Nagar, Talab Tillo, were arrested by the police.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 151/2019 under Sections 8/21/22/29 has been registered at police station Nowabad,” the official added.
The arrest and recovery was made by SI Rohit Bhagat, Incharge, police post Canal under the supervision of SHO Nowabad, Inspector Bimal Indu.
