REASI, Feb 9: Two persons were arrested by police along with 84 pouches of liquor at Panthal in Katra and Nai Basti, Reasi today.
Officials sources said that a police naka party led by SHO Katra, Insp Kuldeep Krishan and SDPO Dr Ashok Sharma intercepted one Rakesh Kumar, son of Hans Raj, resident of Khoo Nalla in Udhampur, at naka point Panthal near Katra today and recovered 42 poly pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The liquor was seized and a case registered against him.
During another naka at Nai Basti in Reasi, the police party led by SHO Reasi, Insp Romal Singh recovered 42 poly pouches of liquor from a bike rider. He was identified as Karnail Singh, son of Krishan Singh, resident of Lamsoora in Reasi. A case was registered against him.
