SRINAGAR: Two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested along with arms and ammunition, including two pistols, by security forces at Handwara in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.
Official sources on Thursday said that following specific information, a joint checkpoint was established by police, 30 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 92 battalion of CRPF at Panditpora, Kralgund in Handwara.
”Two suspicious persons, on seeing the naka checking, tried to escape from the spot but were chased and apprehended by security forces,” they said, adding the accused were identified as Asif Ahmad Dar and Muzamil Ahmad Peer.
They said two pistols, as many pistol magazines, and 20 pistol rounds were recovered from them. (AGENCIES)
