POONCH, Aug 28 : Cloud burst triggered land slide causing damage to residential houses and shops at Lohilbella in Loran area of Mandi tehsil in district Poonch.
Official sources said that after heavy rainfall today, two residential houses and five shops were severely and two were partially damaged in this landslide incident. House and shop owners were identified as Mohd Rashid, Mohd Shabir sons of Jalal Din, Munir Hussain, son of Mir Mohd; Shafiq Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain; Jahangir Ahmed, son of Mohd Aslam and Wali Mohd, all residents of Lohilbella Panchayat in Block Loran.
They said suddenly during rainfall, a massive landslide hit our houses and shops which resulted into severe damages. They urged administration to provide ex-gratia relief to them. Civil and Police officials visited the spot and had assessment of the damages caused to shops and houses.
Executive Magistrate, Mohd Toiyub said that all the cases have been taken up with SDRF and files are being prepared.
