UDHAMPUR, Apr 6: In separate incidents, two houses were completely gutted in accidental fire in village Nagulta in Chenani and Shankar Nagar Udhampur. However, there was no loss of life.
Reports said that fire broke out in the house of Mohan Singh, which was completely gutted despite hectic efforts by the locals along with police and the firemen in dousing the blaze.
Meanwhile, another house was completely gutted in accidental fire at Shankar Nagar, Ward number 17 in Udhampur. The house belonged to Veer Ji Raina, who had rented it while the tenant was out of town at the time of incident.
Locals tried to douse the flames and save precious items by sprinkling water on the house but nothing could be saved. Cause of fire could not be ascertained. Police have taken cognizance of both the incidents.
