UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were injured when their bike was hit by a tractor at Kemal Danga in Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Balbir Singh (17), son of Sansar Singh of Devigarh, Reasi and Sukhdev Singh (18), son of Sardool Singh of Devigarh. The duo was shifted to hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, Police has ascertained identity of the young woman pilgrim, who had committed suicide by jumping into a deep gorge adjoining the track to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
As per an identity card, recovered from possession of the deceased, her name was Shalini, wife of Aditya Narayan of Shiv Nagar, Ahmedabad.
Police has established contact with the Gujarat Police in this connection.
