POONCH, Jan 30: Two villagers were injured when a wild boar (wild pig) attacked them in Faizalabad area of Surankote in Poonch district today.
Brother of one injured person said that he was going to water mill to bring flour when the wild pig attacked and left him injured, while another injured person said that he was at home when some people started shouting that a wild boar attacked one person and he went there to see. Then he was also attacked by the wild pig.
“Both were rescued by the Armymen with the assistance of locals and taken to Army hospital, from where they were shifted to Sub District Hospital Surankote for treatment”, an official said.
Condition of Rashid is said to be stable.
Incharge Tatta Kutti Wild Life Sanctuary Pawan Kumar said that a team has been deputed in this area to trace and drop back the wild boar to forest.
