JAMMU, June 13: The full court, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Justice, M M Kumar, accorded sanction to the placement of two Sessions Judges in the Super Time Scale of the Higher Judicial Service and nine District and Sessions Judges in the Selection Grade.
According to the order issued by Registrar General, Suresh Sharma, Kartar Singh, Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu and M K Hanjura, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua have been placed in the Super Time Scale of Higher Judicial Service. Kartar Singh has been given the scale retrospectively with effect from December 1, 2011.
The District and Sessions Judges who have been given Selection Grade are Rakesh Sagar Jain (Registrar Judicial J&K High Court, Jammu Wing), Ashok Kumar Koul (Principal District and Sessions Judge Udhampur), Rashid Ali Dar (Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla), Vinod Chaterjee Koul (Registrar Vigilance High Court), Mohammad Yousaf Akhoon (Principal Secretary to Chief Justice of State High Court), Sanjay Dhar (Presiding Officer MACT Court), Puneet Gupta (Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu), Mohan Lal Manhas (Special Judge Anticorruption Srinagar) and Mohammad Akram Choudhary (Principal District & Sessions Judge Ramban).
Meanwhile, the Judicial Officers, who have attained or attaining the age of 58/55/50 years and found fit and eligible for continuing as Judicial Officers are per Rule 21 and 24 of the J&K Higher Judicial Service Rules 2009, are Ashok Kumar Sharma, Principal Sessions Judge Rajouri, Mohd Shafi Khan, Principal Sessions Judge Srinagar, M K Hanjura, Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, R S Jain, Registrar Judicial High Court Jammu Wing, Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur, Mohd Yousaf Akhoon, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice, Puneet Gupta, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta, 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Abdul Rashid Malik, Principal Sessions Judge Anantnag, Kishore Kumar Principal Sessions Judge, Poonch, Shujat Ali Khan, Principal Sessions Judge Shopian and Nighat Sultana, Additional District Judge Matrimonial Jammu.
