UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: Continuing its drive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Udhampur police today recovered two kg of cannabis from two narcotic smugglers at Jakhani naka point, Udhampur.
The consignment of cannabis was being smuggled in Tavera vehicle, bearing registration number RJ22UA-0322, which was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Chanchal Singh, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur, during a naka at Jakhani Naka point, Udhampur.
The smugglers were identified as Shakeel Khan, son of Amir Khan of Udaipur and Babu Khan, son of Sitab Khan of Udaipur who were arrested on the spot and recovered cannabis was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR number 143/2021, under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
