POONCH, June 12: The police recovered 2 kg of heroin from the possession of a drug-peddler in Poonch area today.
Police said in continuation with the investigation of Case FIR No. 77/2023 US 13/18/UAPA 4/5 ESA, registered at Poonch police Station, during the sustained questioning, the accused Mohd Rashid , son of Badar Din disclosed that two packets containing approximately 02 kgs heroin has been kept hidden in open forest area near his village house at Bagyaldara.
As per disclosure DySp Mohd Shafiq DySp Dar Poonch along with Police Party under the supervision of SSP Poonch Vinay Sharma, Army and Executive Magistrate Ist Class Poonch recovered two packets containing 2 kg heroin on the identification of place in Bagyaldara Kalsian forest area.
