UDHAMPUR, June 18: Acting swiftly, Chenani Police recovered two kidnapped minor girls within14 hours from Kishtwar and arrested the two accused in this connection.
Father of the victim had lodged a complaint at Police Station Chenani last evening alleging that his 16 yrs old daughter along with a 13- year old girl from Uttar Pradesh, temporary residing in Chenani were kidnapped by someone.
Acting on the complaint, the Police registered a case FIR number 100/23, and started investigation. After hectic efforts, SHO Chenani, Inspector S D Singh and his team, traced the victim girls and arrested the alleged kidnappers from Kishtwar.
The accused were identified as Mohd Shakeel (23), son of Ghazi Mohd and Mohd Rafiq (25), son of Jamal Din, resident of village Nagulata Chenani.
After the medical examination, both the girls were handed over to their parents and further investigation is going on.
