JAMMU, Jan 24: Two persons were killed while one injured in separate road mishaps in different parts of Jammu district.
According to a police spokesperson, a pedestrian identified as Gurmeet Singh (35) son of Surjeet Singh of Nowshera in Sunderbani was killed on the spot after an unknown vehicle hit him while crossing the National Highway at Gangyal Puli, this evening.
The blood ridden dead body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for post mortem.
In another road accident at Choudrewala falling under the limits of police post Planwala, a motorcyclist received serious injuries when his motorcycle collided with a tractor, this evening. In critical condition the injured person identified as Ram Lal (58) son of Bihari Lal, a resident of village Samwan in Khour area was immediately rushed to GMCH Jammu but he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem.
A 24-year old youth from Orrisa presently residing at Talab Tillo got injured after a speeding tipper hit his bike at Canal Road area, this morning. The injured youth was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
