2 killed, 2 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, Oct 20: Two persons were killed and two others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said two women pedestrians were killed when a Tata Magic bearing registration number JK18/6488 hit them near Kelm Hospital in district Kulgam.
The spokesman said Zaina Begum wife of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Kelm, Bozgam and Maala wife of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Wanpoh, Kulgam, were killed on the spot. The driver fled away from the spot. Police has registered a case and seized the vehicle.
A motorcycle bearing registration number JK03/4797 driven by Iftikar Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Nabi of Sarnal, Baramulla, hit and injured a woman Fatima,70, wife of Ghulam Nabi Lone of Seer Hamdan at Mattan Chowk in district Anantnag. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment, the spokesman said.
In a collision between a Maruti car bearing registration number DL3CBL/0931 driven by Wasim Raja son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Lalla of Habak Crossing, Dargah, Srinagar, with motorcycle bearing registration number JK01K/0199 driven by Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed Misgar son of Ghulam Nabi of Ahmed Nagar, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, the spokesman said.
