KATRA, Nov 26: Two persons were killed and two others of a family sustained critical injuries when an Alto car, they were traveling in, rammed into a Tipper on Jammu-Katra road near Myari, late this evening.
The Alto car, bearing registration number JK02AB-1200 was on way from Jammu to Katra while the tipper JK02P-6168 was stranded on the roadside. The victims were coming back after attending a marriage party in Jammu.
On getting information, a Police party from Katra rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to Katra hospital where doctors declared two of them as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Nanak Chand, son of Ram Ditta, resident of Chintpurni, Ward number 7, Katra and Karan Magotra, son of Sham Lal, resident of Dak Bunglow, Katra.
The injured were identified as Suresh, son of Nanak Chand, who died in the accident, and his mother Shanti Devi. The duo has sustained serious injuries and their condition was stated to be critical.
Katra Police has also registered a case in this connection.
