RAJOURI, Nov 17: Two persons were killed while five others injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle fell down into a gorge in Thanamandi area of Rajouri today.
Official spokesman said that mishap took place in Hasplot area when the ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK11 -3494 was going to Shahdara from Rajouri. It met with accident when driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into nearly 300 ft deep gorge.

Two persons were killed in the mishap. They were identified as Mohd Yasser (21), son of Mohd Hussain from Pangai and Shazia Kouser (15), daughter of Mohd Shafiq, resident of Bhangai. Their bodies were shifted to CHC Thanamandi.
Those injured are identified as Puja (45), wife of Chaman Lal from Agrati, Arushi minor daughter of Chaman Lal; Alia (32), daughter of Zulfiqar Khan from Rajourl;: Shakeel Ahmed , son of Faqir Mohd from Parori and Kala Khan, son of Noor Mohd from Muradpur.
SDM Thannamandi Shafiq Ahmed Mir along with Tehsildar Syed Sahil Ali Shah and SHO Hilal Azhar reached the spot and shifted the injured to CHC Thannamandi.
