2 killed, 5 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, July 19: Two persons were killed and five others were injured today in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley, police said.
A police spokesman said that five presons were injured when a load carrier, JK04/0433, turned upside down at village Charhara in Budgam district. The injured were Dilshada, wife of Ghulam Nabi Dar, of Hardu Malpora Beerwah, Tanveer Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Rashid, Abdul Rashid Malla, son of Abdul Rehman, Ghulam Mohammad Malla of Hardu, Malpora, Beerwah respectively and Fayaz Ahmad Ganie, son of Akbar Ganie of Hanjilawaypora, Beerwah.
Among the injured Dilshada and Ghulam Mohammad Malla succumbed to their injuries after they were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
In a collision between a Tata Mobile, JK04A/9401, and a Piagio Auto, JK04C/0433, near police station Khan Sahab, a man, Bashir Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohammad of Chitro Dangerpora, Budgam, was injured, police said. Bhat has been shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar, for treatment, they said.
In another accident, an Army vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian, Sadaf Sadiq Wagay, daughter of Mohammad Sadiq Wagay of Sodnara, Bandipora, at Nasbal, Bandipora, police said. She was removed to a hospital for treatment, police said.
