2 killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Oct 9: Two persons were killed and six others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said an unidentified Tractor hit and injured a pedestrian Sameer Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Yaqoob of Khargund at Kund Crossing, Kulgam district. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed to his injures.
A Tavera  JK02R/7181 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Rashid, son of Babu of Kerie Terth, Kalakote at Drangbal Pampore, Awantipora. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Pampore for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The spoksman said a Tavera JK01P/9566 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03D/0368 at National Highway near Green tunnel, Sangam, Anantnag, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist and pillion rider Sabzar Ahmad Ganai, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Khudwani and Mohammad Mohammad Ismail Nakioo son of Mohammad Sultan of Shamsipora Wapoora. Both the injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Bijbehara for treatment.
He said a Tavera JK01R/7839 driven by Tariq Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Shafi of Wager Budgam hit and injured a pedestrian Mst. Afroza daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Teli resident of Waghama near HDFC Bank, Bijbehara, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said A Sumo  JK09/9822 collided with a Motorcycle JK05A/1179 near JIC Kupwara, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Nassir Ahmad son of Fareed Ahmad, Asif Khan son of Mohammad Yousf resident of Candoosa, Baramulla and Shaista Bano daughter of Muzaffer Lone resident of Kalarooch traveling in the Sumo. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard. The spokesman said cases have been registered in these accidents.
