JAMMU, Oct 21: Two persons were killed and seven others were injured in road accidents at different locations of the winter capital.
As per reports, 20-year-old Sonu, son of Bhagwan Dass of RS Pura received serious injuries, when the scooter he was riding on collided with a motorcycle at RS Pura.
The youth was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
In another incident, a 75-year-old pedestrian who received injuries yesterday evening at Tali Morh after collision of a scooty and a motorcycle succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The deceased has been identified as Puran Chand, son of Shajju Ram of Tali Morh.
Meanwhile, three persons received injuries, when the car they were traveling in collided with an unidentified vehicle at Nagrota.
The injured identified as Rajesh Verma, son of Gopal Verma of Udhampur, Shabir Ahmed, son of Lal Din and Kulwant Singh son of Madan Lal, both residents of Doda were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Two persons received injuries, when the car they were traveling in collided with a parfait at Greater Kailash.
The injured identified as Jasbir Singh son of Raghubir Singh and Suresh Singh son of Narinder Singh, both residents of Uttar Pradesh presently residing in Gujjar Nagar were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports poured in.
A couple identified Vijay Choudhary and his wife Veena Choudhary, residents of Sarwal received injuries, when the Santro car they were traveling in collided with an unidentified vehicle in Sarwal area.
They were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment and their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
