2 killed, 9 hurt in mishaps

Srinagar, Apr 17: Two labourers died and eight others were injured in separate road mishaps in Kashmir valley today.
Police said a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03D/1971 turned turtle near Panzalpora, Bijbehara, on National Highway, in district Anantnnag resulting in on spot death to two non-local labourers Mehta Paswan resident of Basmati Bihar, Bacho Reshi son of Chotela Reshi Dev resident of Singianierva and injuries to five others.  All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case.
In another accident, a school bus bearing registration number JK04A/8150 of Life School Charar-e-Sharief Budgam turned turtle near Kakaw-ring, Chare-Sharief Budgam, resulting in injuries to 3 students. All the injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital Chadoora, Budgam for treatment. Police have registered a case.
Police said, Umar Nazir Tantray son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Watnard, Kokernag was injured when a CRPF Gypsy hit him near Hangalgund, Kokernag, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to District hospital, Anantnag for treatment.
Kokernag Police has registered a case FIR no: 40/2013 under Section 279, 337/RPC in this regard. The driver of the Gypsy was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
