2 killed in car mishap

BHADERWAH, Oct 25: Two persons were killed, while two others got seriously injured, when the Maruti car they were traveling in plunged into a deep gorge near Lanchan here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK14- 2929 was on its way from Jai to Chinta, when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle plunged into 200 feet deep gorge near Lanchan, resulting into serious injuries to four occupants.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital in police and other vehicles, where doctors pronounced two persons namely Krishan Lal, son of Duni Chand of Tesna Bhaderwah and Naresh Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal of Dugga Chinta as brought dead.
After initial treatment, the two injured persons identified as Kalyan Singh, son of Kelu Ram of Chinta Bhaderwah and Ravinder Kumar, son of Lakhmi Chand of Chinta Bhaderwah were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for advanced treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
