2 killed in mudslide in north Kashmir

Two people were killed when they were hit by a mudslide in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources  here said.
The sources said  the deceased, who were identified as Abdul Jabar War and Dilawar Ahamad Mir, had gone to the forest area in Limmber at Uri in Baramulla to collect wood and mushrooms.
When they did not return, their family members went to the forest to check on them, the sources said.
However, to the horror of the family members, bodies of both the men were recovered under a mudslide.
This is the second incident in Kashmir valley. Recently sixteen members, including women and children, belonging to two families were buried alive in a house which came under a huge mudslide in the central Kashmir district of Budgam. (AGENCIES)
