SAMBA, Sept 13: A young girl and a woman were killed in two separate road accidents in Samba.
A road accident took place when a girl suddenly hit by a car and was seriously injured. The local people brought her to District Hospital Samba in a serious condition where she was declared as brought dead by the doctor. The deceased has been identified as Saira Begum, daughter of Raj Din of Rapper, Samba and the police have registered a case and started searching for the vehicle which fled after the accident.
The second incident took place in Goran village of Sumb block where an 80-year-old elderly woman was hit by a car and she received seriously injuries. The police however seized the car bearing number JK08A-1100 and took the driver into custody. The injured elderly woman was brought to the District Hospital Samba with the help of police and local people and after seeing her critical condition she was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu in a serious condition, where she succumbed to her injuries during the treatment. The police has registered a case in this regard and started further investigation.
