JAMMU, Apr 17: Two persons were killed in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a man identified as Ramesh Kumar Gupta, son of Chaman Lal Gupta, a resident of Nanak Nagar District Jammu was seriously injured after an unknown vehicle hit him near Langer area.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Maya Ram of Madhya Pradesh was killed after a car hit his motorcycle near Raika area. The driver of the car has been arrested.
Bodies of both the victims were shifted to mortuary of GMCH for completion of medical and legal formalities.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Gangyal and Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
