2 killed, nine injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, Dec 24: Two persons died while as nine others were injured in different road accident across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01J/9836 hit 80 years old Fatima, wife of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi ,resident of Kripalpora Payeen, Pattan near Hanjiveera-Pattan, resulting in her on spot death. The body of deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata Sumo turned turtle near Lawaypora on Srinagar-Baramulla highway resulting in injuries to eight passengers. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. However, Kifayat Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Rahim, resident of Singhpora, Baramulla succumbed to his injuries. Baramulla has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata-407 vehicle bearing registration number JK01D/3990 hit a Maruti car bearing registration number JK04B/2359 near Sekidafar Chowk, resulting in injuries to a passenger. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata load carrier bearing registration number JK04B/6118 collided with an Alto car bearing registration number JK13B/8322 here, resulting in injuries to the Alto driver Farooq Ahmad Bhat, resident of Shopian. Police has registered a case in this regard.
