Srinagar: Two National Conference workers were killed and one injured after they were shot at by militants in Kani Kadal area of Srinagar this morning.
Sources said that they were shot at by militants this morning at Karfali Mohalla. The were left in a pool of blood and referred to SMHS hospital where two were declared dead and one is injured.
Locals said that they are National Conference (NC) workers. It is not yet clear whether they were contesting elections or not.
They have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Karfali Mohalla, and was presently residing at Pamposh Cololny Palpora in Eidgah area, Shakeel Ahmad Ganai resident of Kani Kadal and Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Kani Kadal.
One of them is personal assistant of MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous.
