SRINAGAR, May 10: Two persons were killed, while one person was injured in different road accident across the Valley, police said.
A police spokesman said a 50-year-old woman, Zoona Begum wife Ghulam Rasool Malik of Khayaar, Bandipora, was critically injured when she was hit by An Alto 800, JK15/451, on May 8 at Nowpora Chowk in Bandipora.
“The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura where she succumbed to her injuries last evening. Police has registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
An 18-year-old youth, Waqar Ahmed Wani son of Mohammad Shafi Wani of Mukdam Mohallah Trehgam, Kupwara, fell from a moving Tata vehicle, JK09/1547, and was ran-over by the it near Hayan. He died on the spot.
In another accident, a Maruti car, JK01F/0298, was hit by a tipper, JK03/7288, at Gufbal Quimoh in Kulgam, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian.
“The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
