2 killed in road mishaps; girl succumbs to burn injuries

UDHAMPUR, Nov 26: In separate road accidents across Udhampur district, two persons were killed and three others got injured while a young girl, who had sustained critical burn injuries a few days back, succumbed to her injuries today.
Reports said that an LPG   Tanker, bearing registration number JK02U/1851 and coming from Kashmir valley towards Jammu, rolled down near Tamater Morh, Kud, resulting into injuries to driver and cleaner. The injured, identified as Karan Mehta son of Ashok Kumar of Paloura Jammu and Rishav Kumar son of Suresh Kumar of Muthi Jammu were admitted to CHC Chenani where Karan Mehta succumbed to his injuries.
In another road mishap, driver died when a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK14D/7613 rolled down at village Latyar in Panchari area of Udhampur. The driver,   identified as Romesh Singh (25), son of Shiv Dass of Badhota Panchari, died on the spot.
A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were injured when their bike was hit by a load carrier JK08E/8324 near Battal. The injured,  identified  as Sanjay Sharma son of  Lohri Chand of village Kail,  tehsil Majalta and Yash Pal son of  Dev Raj of  village Chani,  tehsil and  district Samba, were shifted to PHC Majalta and then  referred to District Hospital Udhampur due to their critical condition.
Meanwhile, the teenage girl  Anjna (17), daughter of  Vijay Kumar of  Gandala Udhampur,  who had  received burn injuries few days back,  succumbed to hier injuries today. She was admitted in  District Hospital Udhampur and was later referred to Government Medical College Jammu  due to her critical condition. The dead body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
