2 killed in separate road accidents

KATHUA, Oct 14: Two persons were killed in two different road accidents in Kathua and Samba district today.
As per reports, a motorcyclist was killed after his bike was hit by a tuck at Seshwan village in Kathua district today. The truck was on its way from Jammu to Lakhanpur while motorcycle was on way to Seshwan from Chadwal.
The motorcyclist was identified as Vikrant Singh alias Manu, son of Kulwant Singh of Chandwan. There was such an impact of the accident that the motorcycle caught fire resulting into a traffic jam on the National Highway. The biker died on spot.
His body has been handed over to family members after postmortem at DH Kathua. The Chadwal Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The truck was seized by police while the driver fled after accident.
In another accident at Nandpur Ramgarh a lady died after the motorcycle on which she was travelling was hit by a school bus while her husband who was driving the bike was injured seriously. She was identified as Toshi Devi, 35, wife of Naseeb Singh of Sei R S Pura. They were referred to Ramgarh Hospital. The dead body was shifted to mortuary of Ramgarh Hospital while her husband who is serious was shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment.
The Ramgarh Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
