REASI, May 26: Two leopards have created scare after they were spotted in Salal Dam area near Damtop village in Reasi district on Monday.
Reports said two leopards were seen roaming freely and were also captured on the CCTV camera during the intervening night of May 24-25, 2020. With this s scare has been created in the adjoin hamlets and the villages. It has also created panioc among the Salal Dam field staff.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the lockdown, several animals were spotted in various areas of Reasi. Few weeks back, two leopards were also spotted near Katra city and one was later on captured by Wildlife Department staff. Near the new Tarakote track forest area, a leopard and two bears were also seen by locals few days back. A lion was also seen roaming freely near Bhairo temple on Bhawan track in Katra.
