Srinagar, May 27: Two young men today attempted to commit suicide in the Valley.
A police spokesman said 45-year-old, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Ahad Bhat of Momin Danji Arwani consumed poison at his home in Bijbehara, Anantnag. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Another young man, Ashiq Hussain, aged 30, son of Ghulam Hassan of Haron Chogal, consumed poison at his home in Handwara. He was shifted to PHC Chogal for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases and investigations have been taken up to ascertain the cause behind suicide attempts.
